ABSTRACT

The speaker will introduce the UX Graph that is a descendant of the UX Curve by Kujala et al. and the Experience Recollection Method (ERM) that is a revision of the UX Graph and was developed to help users to recollect their experiences with services/products more precisely and more in detail. These methods are not real-time methods but are memory-based methods for evaluating the experience.

The goal of using these methods is to feed back the users’ experience in the real context use to the planning stage of design so that the goal of design may not turn away from the adequate direction.

The presentation will have two parts: in the first part, the concept structure of quality characteristics related to the UX will be explained and the relationship between the business process including the design process and the usage process will also be discussed. Then, in the second part, UX Graph and ERM will be explained. Participants will be requested to try to use both methods (if we’ll have time to do that).
